Fox Meadow Apiary

The Fox Meadow Apiary

We have a small but growing Apiary where our girls produce a wonderful honey from their own personal blend of nectars they collect from the meadows and wood in the local area.  We call the fruits of there labors Meadow Flower Honey.  Like fine wine, each years blend is slightly different depending on what is most plentiful or most attractive to our bees, all are delightfully light and flavorful.  In abundance in our bees area, Alfalfa, Dandelion, Honey Locust, Black Raspberries, Clover and a multitue of others each contributing their essence to the blend.

Our honey is bottled raw to preserve all the health benefits that it can bring to you, delicately flavored it brings with it all the delightful memories of warm sunny summer days.  Our customers return year after year, enjoying each years "vintage blend" using it in cooking, pastries, teas or sampling it right off a spoon.

The Honey Bee is an essential part of the ecosystem, without them the worlds agricultural system would collapse without their pollinating prowess.    A typical Worker Bee will produce 1/12th of a teasponn of honey in her lifetime.  These girls literally work themselves to death from the time they are hatched.

Raw honey Honey as it exists in the beehive or as obtained by extraction, settling or straining without adding heat above 120 degrees fahrenheit. Raw honey contains some pollen and may contain small particles of wax. Local raw honey is sought after by allergy sufferers as the pollen impurities are thought to lessen the sensitivity to hay fever
